This One Hurts....

Yesterday evening marked an absolutely terrible day for a major city in this Great Country-

the Municipal City of Detroit has filed for Chapter 9 Bankruptcy

What does this mean?

This means that Teachers, Police, Firefighters, and City Workers that have retired are going to lose some of their retirement pensions that they were expecting to live on in their golden years

This also means that existing Teachers, Police, Firefighters, and City Workers could have wages dropped and possibly even position diminished

This stuff makes me upset, these people looked to this once great city to protect them and their family in the future and the City has failed them.

If you have only looked to your employer for YOUR retirement....think again.  

Plan for yourself, Plan correctly

No one thought this could happen, but it did.
